Why do we use human life, as the measurement for life?

When they speak about “livable” planets, they seem to believe that humans are the starting point. The argument stems from the idea that only certain elements are necessary for “complex” forms of life to emerge, but extremophiles threw many of the previous doctrines about “livable’ conditions out the window. Yet again, even Science can not escape the arrogance of man believing his is the divine center for the Universe.

Divine center of his own, infinitesimally small, Universe, perhaps.
